How it works
- Call Call us and tell us what kind of door you have and whether you have already chosen a lock. On the call we will confirm the offer conditions, compatible models and the time of the visit.
- Compatibility check The door type, its thickness and the existing lock determine which model will work. If needed, the technician will assess the door on site.
- Agreement You choose a model and agree on the details of the work. If the lock was bought from Spacelocksmith, the service and installation are our gift.
- Installation The technician installs the lock and checks that it works both mechanically and electronically.
- Handover The technician explains the main functions, the power supply and the backup way to open the door. It is best to set up personal codes and access details yourself.

- The smart lock model and its features
- The type, thickness and condition of the door
- Whether extra adjustment of the door or removal of the old lock is needed
- The address and the time of the visit

Limitations and safety
Compatibility. Not every smart lock fits every door. In some cases a different model or extra adjustment of the door is needed. That is why we recommend contacting us before you buy a lock.
Right of access. We only install a lock on a door the customer has the right of access to. This right is confirmed before the service, and the way it is verified is agreed on the call. If you rent, agree the installation with the owner in advance.
Risk of damage. During installation we try to work without damage, depending on what is possible and the specific case. If a particular model requires extra work on the door, the technician will explain this beforehand.
Power and backup opening. A smart lock runs on electrical power. When choosing a model, find out how it warns you that the battery is running low and how you can open the door if that happens.

Which model will suit my door?
It depends on the type of door, its thickness, the direction it opens and the existing lock. Describe your door on the call; if needed, the technician will assess it on site.
Will my door need to be altered for the installation?
That depends on the model, the door construction and the existing lock. Sometimes a smart lock fits where the old lock was; sometimes the door needs extra adjustment. The technician will explain any such work beforehand and only carry it out with your consent.
Who sets up the codes and fingerprints?
At handover the technician will show you how the lock works. For security, it is best to register your personal codes and fingerprints yourself and not to share them with strangers.
